An Orlando native since the early 2000s and Dr. Phillips resident, John Henry changed careers to use his experience and pursue his passion for helping people and serving the Orlando and Orange County communities.
John spends a lot of time visiting and reviewing the numerous independent living, assisted living, residential care, and memory care homes in the area to bring clients the best possible options for their loved ones.
With more than 200 homes for seniors in Orange County with varying levels of quality and service, I want to make it as easy as possible for seniors and families to find the best fit. My goal is to provide the same advocacy and guidance I would give to my own family to seniors throughout Orlando and Orange County.
John will meet with you to assess care needs. He will then schedule tours and accompany you on visits to the top-rated facilities that fit your criteria. He can also assist with negotiations and paperwork, and will continue to serve your family after the move-in. Placement service is provided at no cost to the family, as John’s team receives a commission from the community or care home once the senior has moved in.
When he’s not helping seniors and families, John enjoys spending time with his nephew and nieces, running half and full marathons to support charitable causes like Team for Kids, reading, history, golf, and cheering on sports teams from Orlando and his childhood home of Philadelphia.
John is also happy to help with referrals to the very best service providers and resources for seniors in Orlando and Orange County, Florida.
SENIOR CARE AUTHORITY COMPANY HISTORY
Senior Care Authority was founded in 2009 by Frank and Michele Samson of Sonoma, California. They opened a local placement agency and learned everything there was to know about finding the right care situation for an older adult needing help with activities of daily living. They came to the Senior Care space with successful business development skills in their past as well as personal family experience finding care solutions. The business took off, primarily due to their diligence, compassion, and commitment to helping families.
In 2014, the model was franchised and Senior Care Authority is now a national company with offices throughout the US and Canada. As part of their expansion, they partnered with an eldercare consulting practice who brought another set of senior care services and skills to the company, a great differentiator for Senior Care Authority.
